Disappearing 9 patch class

This is this ladies first every quilt. Isn't she fantastic.

19 in the class. Some got the quilt finished some had the boarders to put on the rest left with what was not finished pinned together. It was a great productive class.

This method would be fantastic for charity quilts or when quilts are wanted in a hurry.
Girls that did not do the class went home with the idea and some have also made a quilt.
This is the class I taught at Peachester a couple of weeks ago. What a lovely time we had. The girls just loved the class and many have finished the quilt tops and made more. I have to admit I am addicted to this method. There are just so many ways it can go together as well as ways you can quilt it. If you make the corners 2 triangles the quilt is totally different again. It goes on and on. I have already made 7 and have material to do more. It is a great way to use up 6inch (or what ever) blocks you have laying around.

It goes together so fast and you can have a top done in a day or even less. You can do the 9 patches in what ever size you like. Add other squares. My mind keeps boggling. I drew the cut block into EQ6 and using the Symmetry tool had a play around and created many different quilts using the same method as a base.
Until next time take care
Delia

Thanks for giving this post a label so I could easily find it. Wow, the variations are amazing. IF I ever make a proper quilt again I certainly will use it.
